At least in America, nearly every driver takes horrendous risks every time they get behind the wheel (and I include myself in that statement). A significant number of us routinely speed at 5 to 10 miles over the speed limit, some even faster. Some of us never use a turn signal. Many drivers ONLY drive in the fast lane. We drive without wearing seatbelts, with loose articles in the car just waiting to become a deadly projectile, on bad tires, with bad brakes, broken side mirrors, no brake lights, lights off during bad weather. Tailgating at highway speeds on slippery roads is common, as is taking curves at dangerous speeds. Running red lights? Pretty much at EVERY light change. Stop signs? A waste of money for the most part. Damn, I wish the car wouldn't bounce so much, it makes typing hard. Ultra-bright headlights? Cool is better than safe (amirite?).
