Personally I do not think college applicants should be required to do an essay. I think that if you have enough writing ability to do a application then you are okay. Why would I require you to write an essay when almost all the essay topics are the same.

I think there should be more debate topics something like “Do you believe a uniform is necessary or unecessary? Why or why not?” Or discuss things like “Do you think colleges should go strictly off standarized test scores?” We should just have more opinionated questions because it can show our ability to form an opinion and have a information to back it up.
