Helping students excel in education

RM: When I was younger, I applied for the Faculty of Justice. I was going to travel to Helsinki to do the admission test when received the info, just one day before, that I had passed my test to the School of Architecture. Therefore, it was easy to choose Architecture instead of Justice. If you are talking about now, I am really interested in small scale craft design; such as chairs, seats or lamps. According to this, I would choose the profession of a carpenter.

The cloning process is not yet perfected nor one hundred percentaccurate, in fact, it took Ian Wilmut more than 277 attempts before thesuccessful creation of a "healthy viable lamb" .Furthermore, Ian Wilmut explains that mistakes where made in hisprocedure and there is uncertainty whether a fetus or adult cell wasused in his steps of creating "Dolly" .Cloning of humans will be a much more difficult task and a huge riskwhere a number of things can go wrong causing malformation and diseasesin the human body .It involved a slightly different process where a somatic cell must betaken from the female. These somatic cells will be harder to work withbecause they are specialized cells where genes are "turned off" andunable to turn back "on" . In addition, the "human clone" will be a "time-delayed identical twin" .Because of these complications and imperfections the government hastaken action with the proposal of the Cloning Prohibition Act of 1997by President Bill Clinton , . With this bill there would be no "implantation of cloned cells into the human .President Clinton believes that "any discovery that teaches upon humancreation is not simply a matter of scientific inquiry but also a matterof morality and spirituality" .In addition to the actions of the President the National BioethicsAdvisory Commission (NBAC) agrees that no human cloning shall takeplace because at the present time it is not justified to produce ahuman child by the cloning procedure used to create "Dolly" , .The NBAC stresses that there is potentially a greater risk with humanerror as well as having numerous failed attempts before creating aperfect clone , .They are concerned about the psychological damage and the disappearanceof individuality if human cloning became a common practice .Both the President and the NBAC find it morally wrong and currentlyinappropriate to put human cloning into practice.

You people are hilarious. Thanks for the laugh.

There are numerous ways where cloning will further aid inscientific development and help the advancement of scientific knowledgeof humans. Human cloning can allow rebirth of deceased humans, curediseases especially those related to genetics, and discover new dataand ideas . It can prevent endangered species from disappearing as well as allow healthier human beings, .It will allow doctors to research and determine the cause ofspontaneous abortions as well as research rapid cell growth of cancercells . .New organs that genetically match the recipient may be produced as wellas allow regeneration of nerve tissues and other damaged tissues, andfurther study in genetics, human body development, and medicine . . .Agricultural and livestock can also be improved where scientist canalter clone organisms with preferable better traits or idealcharacteristics . All this will allow the people of science to have an in depth research of the human body.

I completely agree. This whole thing is going to grow out of proportion like everything else.

I am totally with you on that fact that God is not an option and that things did not just happen by chance. How I like to think of it is like the Washington Memorial. Think, did it just apear there from nothing? No, of course not! If you said that in today's society people would think you had gone mad. That building was MADE. It was made with a purpose, and with creative thinking and a plan already set out before anyone started working on it. Thus is the same case with the Earth, and in the begining of time God had created all the Earth and it's contents, including every animal. They were put on Earth for a reason, they didn't have some random mutation that caused them evolve into what they are. That is just one of many excuses to how the Earth was made by people who refuse to believe that God is real and what all He did for us. God made us all individuals, and scientists have no right to play God as a human, of whom God had created. keep in mind that, also, God is letting them do this. Nothing is out of His control, and if He wanted to stop them He would. So, I am against this because I feel it is wrong. And so the war continues, between right and wrong, the truth and the lies, and between what people want to believe and what is facts. Guess how many people will argue? A lot! But the truth is the truth, and nothing else. :)

scientist don't belive in god so the bible thing is not in the quistion :)

What about the Nordic countries and specifically Finland?

RM: You have to set a clear goal what you wish to be. And then, you cannot compare yourself with your friends, you must be open to do a self-evaluation all the time.

Why doesn't god speak to me then? Why doesn't he tell me hes real?!?

God is spelt with a capital 'G' thank you very much!

MS: Of course, the new communications and ways of living and the economical situation obviously affect the architecture. However, I would like to underline that the basic values needed for human beings have not changed: how to build quality in accordance with the environment, how to make nice spaces with good materials that touch human beings, how to use natural light, how to connect a building to the landscape… All these aspects are basically still the same.
